Garden
Our holiday home is located on a beautiful, naturally landscaped plot spanning approximately 7,000 m².
Tall trees add to the woodland charm.
The naturally landscaped areas alternate with beautiful shrub beds.
The garden is bordered by two streams, one large and one small.
The latter forms a small pool at the foot of a miniature waterfall, which is perfect for splashing about and taking a dip.
A bridge (width: 3.10 m) leads from the road over the larger of the two streams, the Aughnabrone, into the grounds.
The garden features plenty of fruit trees and berry bushes, which you’re welcome to help yourself to. The orchard behind the house is quite steep,
but there is also a large, flat meadow by the river, which is suitable for playing games. Here you’ll also find a semi-open play barn and a fire pit. Speaking of playing: Be sure to read the 'Hazards' section below.
Cosy spots
A large terrace, ideal for gatherings such as late family breakfasts or barbecues, is situated in front of the house. Behind the house is a very sheltered spot: a small terrace framed by the house and the hillside, which catches the warmth of the afternoon sun.
The semi-open barn by the river offers a rainproof place for socialising.
There are also plenty of cosy spots to read and dream.

Hazards
It is important for us to point out the following dangers, especially when children are present:
- The site includes 250 m of difficult-to-see wild riverbank.
- Both rivers flow fast and carry a lot of water, depending on the season.
- Parts of the site are steep. There are embankments where it is possible to fall.
- There are ruins on the site that may be unstable.
- Some of the plants in the garden are poisonous.
- In particular, do not pick wild garlic, as it grows alongside the poisonous, similarly-looking lily of the valley.
- Important for dog owners: The property is not fenced.
