This is the oldest part of the house. In the 18th century the miller and his family lived here. You can still see this in the thick walls. Today it serves as our
games room
with a large table for board games, jigsaws or, of course, meals. Beneath the tabletop is a billiards table which can be rolled into the middle of the room on castors.
There is also a large selection of games. And unlike in the days of the miller, there is now underfloor heating.
Also on the ground floor is a
bathroom
with:
- shower
- WC
- underfloor heating
- hand towels
- bath towels
and in an anteroom:
- washing machine
- tumble dryer
This bathroom is wheelchair accessible.
The upper floor
has 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Bedroom 1 and bathroom are separated from the other two by steps and the landing.
Bedroom 1
is lovely, with windows on three sides, a cosy double bed (140 x 200 cm), a wardrobe and bookshelves. There’s also a small desk area, which we use for working remotely.
Bedroom 2
We call it "the green room". The large bay window looks out into the garden and, with its chaise longue, it's the perfect place to read a book. There is also a double bed (140 x 200 cm), a small secretary desk and a wardrobe..
Bedroom 3
is the most flexible: the two 100 x 200 cm beds can be used as single beds or pushed together to make a double bed. There is also a wardrobe and a bookshelf.
The bathroom
on the upper floor:
- bathtub
- WC
- hairdryer
- hand and bath towels
